We are excited about it! Tomorrow you will meet uma brasileira que é super bacana. Our character is originally from Salvador. Her adventurous spirit and curious nature has taken her around Brazil and off the beaten path.

You know that friend who always has the funniest stories to tell? The one that you can't help but say: "This could only happen to you!" Yeah, this girl is one of those very unique people. Her friends get a kick out of her diverse vocabulary of colloquial expressions and slang. But what could you expect of someone who has adventured throughout Brazil like she did?

About Aula Viva

Aula Viva is a one of a kind Brazilian Portuguese workshop. Each meeting brings to you an adaptation of a piece of Brazilian contemporary literature (tomorrow's Aula Viva is based on a text by Luís Fernando Veríssimo, one of my favorite Brazilian writers). You will learn Portuguese, dive into the Brazilian Culture, laugh, and improve your conversational skills. It will be challenging -- think about a short and sweet immersion -- and you are sure to have lots of fun.

About Us

We are professional instructors of Portuguese. In addition, Larissa is an actress; last year alone she won two prizes here in the Bay Area. Aula Viva puts together our skills as instructors and Larissa's talent as a comedienne. We are passionate about this idea and confident that you will have a blast with us.
