Hi, my name is Boyd...
I'm an Australian living in Florida and only God knows why! But I found some brothers and sisters here on the space coast from Brazil and I have come to love finding the common ground we seem to share.
So I look forward to bridging the gap our languages have created by learning portuguese and sharing the love of great food, music and our superiority on the sports field!!
Yes it is, I have been helping my Carioca friend get his Churrascaria up and running for a year now. If you look up, Aussie meets churrasco on youtube you can see my prep before that photo was taken.
Oi, Boyd
Seja muitíssimo bem-vindo! I am glad to have you on board and I love your introduction :) When you come to the West Coast, you have to make some good churrasco here. We will be happy to give you our kitchen :)

Thanks Luciana!
Maybe I will make some Aussie food for you too, we are a little English in our palate.
That being said it is great like the meat pie:

A fully fledged burger with the works, and in Australia we mean it! (mine would have pineapple on it too)

A lamb roast like mum (US-mom) used to make:

Or maybe a regular Aussie style BBQ:

Then we could finish either one of these meals off with the french based dessert, Pavlova:
(edit: I just realised that it's not really french 'based' but the origin of the recipe is a point of argument between Australia and New Zealand. Either way our cultures are very similar so this is still a very Australian dessert none the less)

Oh man, Estou com muito fome after looking at all that!
OMG, how many kgs does one put on by visiting Australia? That looks delicioso!
You can stay very healthy because fast food is expensive ($7-8 for a McD's meal) and our Stone fruit in the summer time is the best. On top of that you can load up on some of the best fruit juices from Boost Juice. (A fresh fruit juice/smoothie chain) Or the extremely cheap Sushi we have everywhere which is about $2 a roll. $4.50 of it will satisfy a grown man.
Or you can experience the awesome sushi train restaurants:

As the admin I'm on the verge of putting a stop to this thread. It is becoming just too mouthwatering for the general public. OK, it can continue :)
You should try the sushi in Recife. They have sushi rodizio there. Not sure if I had ever consumed that much raw fish before I came across one of those.
Sushi rodizio? That's sounds fantastic! I'm definately going to search that out. I don't think you understand my love for sushi... I think I have.... a problem.
