Thought I'd post this interesting article on Brazil that appeared in Techdirt today (partly on a story I submitted to them). One part is the Brazilian government's interesting stance on web community providers being responsible for what happens to them (at one point they tried to completely shut down YouTube because of someone's video upload), and the other part is about the way Brazil is generally more open to giving people access to culture rather than locking it down like they generally do in the US and Europe (RIAA anyone?).   Did you know that Gilberto Gil releases his music under a Creative Commons license?
