Studying Portuguese in Brazil
What's apparently pretty popular with expats in Brazil is the courses offered by Kumon. Kumon in Brazil is different than the one in the states; with Kumon, you can learn maths, English, Japanese, a slew of other languages, but also "proper" and conversational Portuguese.
I'll be taking some Kumon classes next year for Portuguese; my namorado has taken Kumon for Japanese and couldn't recommend it higher.
Obrigada for sharing this!
Oi, John....
Earlier this year I studied for three months at Interclass in Campinas, São Paulo state. I had a great experience there and would recommend it to anyone looking for individually tailored, one-on-one instruction. Here's the link to their website: http://www.interclass-cps.com.br/Interclass_pages/Introduction.html.
Tudo de bom!

Oi John
I have heard about Fast Forward. It seems that they have schools in different cities in Brazil. In fact, I have a couple of students who are moving to Brazil in March and they will probably try the program. I will let you know when I hear their feedback.
Obrigada for the question.
