This is a classic. Check out this lion speaking English with a Brazilian accent. If you have Brazilian friends -- or are Brazilian yourself -- you will certainly recognize his rhythm or how he pronounces the word "hot".

My personal favorite is the way he says that he needs "espace" -- yes, with the "e" in front of it. Carl, my husband, has always enjoyed the way I (involuntarily) say things like "estrange", "eschedule", or "especial". Our car, for instance, we both call it the "Esmarte" Car :)

I sure had a big laugh with this lion! He looks like he is from the same creator as the Wallace and Gromit cartoons. I hope you enjoy it.

If you know any other funny videos featuring Brazilian accents, please share.

"Especial" thanks to Street Smart Brazil student Don for sending me this video!

Funny, I've pretended to be my amigo brasileiro when someone calls him and they haven't been able to tell the difference! hahah
I will remember to add the 'e' in front of these words if I do it again.

Since I was born in London, I believe beyond a reasonable doubt that I am "smashing".  Since Lu's Brasileira I believe she is "especial" . . . . together we are "ESMASHING".
