I didn't know where to put this, I thought it was funny... well once I realised they were all real locations in Rio. Looks like they are preparing the city to make it more tourist friendly for 2016.

Nice.  There is an old town next to Recife called Olinda, and the story goes it got its name by people saying "Oh! Linda!", or "Oh, how pretty!" I guess we have our fair share here in California with places like Belmont ("beautiful mountain"), Palo Alto ("Tall Pole"), and Mountain View (speaks for itsself, or you would think until you went there and realized there are, in fact, no mountains to view).

We have the same in Australia, because of the aboriginal names, places like:
Mooloolah, Mooloolaba, Eudlo, Eumundi, Beerwah, Buderim.... these are just a few names of the towns less than a 40min drive from my home.... I'm sure you could go nuts for hours... haha
