A YouTube subscriber asked this question:

  • How do you say "grounded" as in "You're grounded for a week, for playing an inappropriate video game"?

Grounded = de castigo
Castigo = punishment
The expression "de castigo" is invariable:

  • Você está de castigo.
  • Vocês estão de castigo.
  • Eles estavam de castigo.
