Quick question, when talking about the weekend I ran into issue of what to pluralise when saying, on the weekends
is it proper to say,
nos fims de semana
or
nos fims de semanas

Great question. There are two funny things about "fim de semana".

"Semana" is a feminine noun: "a semana". But "fim de semana" is masculine: "o fim de semana". That is because "fim" is a masculine noun. You are already using this correctly :)

The plural is: os fins de semana. Only the word "fim" goes to the plural. Words that end in "m" have their plural by dropping the "m" and adding "ns".

Obrigada pela ótima pergunta!!
