Soccer players know that they have to respect the referee. They can't "bater boca" with the man or they might get a card. Um "bate-boca" can harm the team.

  • Bater boca (verb) = to argue, to contend or disagree in words, to exchange insults with someone else.
  • O bate-boca (noun) = argument, disagreement in words, exchange of insults
