Palavra (En)cantada - Great Musical Documentary
I posted on my blog one of the best musical documentaries I've seen on Brazil (and in the comments section, for a limited time, are the links to download it...with English subtitles). This is a must-see film, enjoy!

If you've seen a particular music documentary on Brazil before, let's hear about it. I recommend Brasileirinho (on choro music), Moro no Brasil (a musical journey through Brazil), Coração Vagabundo (following Caetano Veloso on tour), Nelson Freire (on a famous Brazilian pianist) and a few others that the BBC did on Tropicalia and another on Samba.
Valeu Adam,
I had read about this documentary, and actually bought it while in Brazil this last Christmas season!!! Now I am even more curious to watch it, which I plan to do this coming weekend!
I really appreciated the list you suggested... some of them I've seen, like "Moro no Brasil" (very interesting), and "Coração Vagabundo" ( I love Caetano Veloso, so I am suspicious, but also consider it a nice thing to watch on Brazil)
I would like to suggest another documentary I bought while in Brazil... it's called "Vinicius de Moraes", and I had a blast watching it... Vinicius's life is told by a mix of narration of the facts of his life + the reciting, and singing of his beautiful thoughts. The reciting of his poems are beautiful, and the singing of his songs are also done by powerful singers in very beautiful performances! There are testimonials by Chico Buarque, Caetano, Toquinho, Ferreira Gular, some of his daughters, and many others !

I have brought other documentaries, and will post my impressions as I watch them.
Thanks again, Vanessa
Planning for a trip to Brazil this autumn but unaware of the places to be visited. How can I collect the information?
