Oi!
Hey guys, I wanted to know a couple of things... so firstly what is your favourite night time dish? When you come home from work or whatever what's the one thing you want to smell when you open the door (hopefully created by your significant other or some other person who has permission to use your kitchen)
I love Moqueca and of course Churrasco but neither are really your typical family meals, like feijoada (which I also love)
so.. I'm keen to here what you guys have to say
OH and my friend makes this dish with Polenta and Ox tail, beef hearts.. it's a stew type of thing, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of it or exactly how to make it.. one will in turn fix the other but since it's now winter here I'm really keen to make this dish! little help! ;-)
What a delicious question :)
My family doesn’t have the habit of a full meal at dinner. Our night time meal is similar to breakfast. One of the things that I love, love, love is cuzcuz nordestino with melted queijo coalho on top. Here are two recipes:

I'm not familiar with Brazilian foods but when I visited Brazil during the Investing Memberships conference, I loved Churrasc! I wanna taste it again. So yummy.

Oi Species,
My favorite night time dish, when in Brazil, is rice, carne de charque a.k.a carne seca ( kind of beef jerk), and beans. They are usually leftovers from lunch. At least in my house, this is the tradition: my mother used to cook a big lunch so that we would have enough left for dinner time. Sometimes she would cook some macaxeira (yuka), or inhame (yam) for dinner. It is so good!
My parents also used to have some coffee and french bread as part of the meal. Since I don't drink coffee, I just stick to some fresh juice and french bread or pão doce (sweet bread tipped with shredded coconut)! Humm delícia!!
I guess the dish your friend makes is "Rabada", I found some videos on Youtube that show the step-by-step of this recipe. Unfortunately I couldn't find any video in English.
Rabada 1
Rabada 2
Enjoy e bom apetite!!
