Luciana created Street Smart Brazil™ based on many years of experience teaching Portuguese. Luciana has had numerous students who have lived and studied in Brazil, and therefore spoke Portuguese fluently. However, students were puzzled in the face of simple, everyday street language. With that in mind, she started teaching Expressões Bem Brasileiras, which was an immediate success in classes.
 
With Street Smart Brazil you will learn expressions that are nationally used and others that are particular to specific cities or states. You will become familiar with informal language and the way we Brazilians speak in our everyday lives. We also offer expertise in business language and cross-cultural coaching.

We help them to attain a deeper insight into the fascinating Brazilian culture. Our mission is to help you get the best out of everything Brazilian: music, friends, dance, business, and travel. At Street Smart Brazil we add value to our students’ interactions with the world and especially with Brazil.
 
We pride ourselves on teaching the Portuguese that students won’t learn in textbooks, by using software, or in a traditional language school. Along with proper grammar and vocabulary, we teach idiomatic expressions, popular sayings, business language, and regional differences. We teach the Portuguese that Brazilians really speak.
