Regular Classes

Our private classes are designed to make you fluent in, and comfortable with, Brazilian Portuguese. Whether you are a total beginner or fully conversational, we customize classes to attend to your needs and desires. Here you will learn what you want, when you want it, and how you want it. And, of course, we will have fun along the way!

• Classes are private which allows not only total control over your time and what you'd like to learn, but also gives you the opportunity for lots of practice. We can use music, poems, readings, anything that you like. We can build customized vocabulary in topics of your interest, do role-playing, and practice popular sayings, slang, and local expressions. You will learn the Portuguese that we really speak in Brazil.

• We provide the materials for the classes. We use original Street Smart Brazil content in combination with various other resources. We bring content from these different sources according to our class pace and your curiosity about the language. Experimenting with different materials allows you to choose those that better fit your learning style and interests.

• Lessons can be in-person (San Francisco, CA) or over the web. The web classes are live, one-on-one, and as effective as in-person lessons. Retention rate is 100% after trial class. Learn more about the web lessons here.

• Street Smart Brazil instructors have access to a rich library of class materials; Luciana personally compiled and continually updates this library.
• Luciana personally trains the Street Smart Brazil instructors and follows up closely with them about your progress.

 
Our rates are:

• $35 per hour, in person (materials included)
• $30 per hour, through Skype (we send you materials through email)
• For your convenience, our instructors can meet you for classes at a place of your choice. A convenience fee of $7.50 per class applies.
