Policies & Rates
Our teachers and staff are friendly, flexible, and accommodating. With that said, we do need a few policies in order to continue to deliver reliable, high quality services to our students and to allow students and teachers to continue to enjoy their learning and teaching.
About Payment
- Your 30-minute demo lesson via webcam is free. This is a great opportunity to meet your teacher, test-drive our class material, and see how you feel about our approach.
- Your first payment is due before your first regular lesson.
- You can choose between two payment plans: Smart Subscription and Flex Pay.
- With Smart Subscription you enjoy reduced class rates (please see below), save time, and don’t have to worry about due dates. Your subscription is renewed every four weeks so there is no big commitment. You can cancel your subscription at any time (please see Termination and Refunds below).
- With Flex Pay, you receive a monthly invoice at the beginning of each month for the number of lessons that you want to have on that month. Invoices are due upon receipt. You can pay online through a secure connection using any credit card.
- Subscriptions are for students who take at least one lesson per week.
- Your subscription payment will be charged automatically every four weeks on the same amount/number of lessons of your choice.
- With Smart Suscription you will not receive payment reminders prior to being charged for regular payments.
- If you consistently cancel classes (see Lesson Cancelation policy below) and cannot make it to your weekly lessons, we will need to move you to the hourly rate for non-subscription lessons (please see rates below).
Termination and Refunds:
- You may stop your subscription at any time. You can do it yourself by logging into your Paypal account if you have one, or please contact us and we will cancel your subscription. Alternatively, you can contact Paypal directly and ask them to cancel your subscription. You do not need to have a Paypal account in order to pay for your lessons.
- Requests to terminate your subscription and/or requests for a refund must be made by email.
- If you request termination by email less than 5 business days before the scheduled billing date there is a chance that we will not be able to stop the charge to your card. If that is the case we will refund your last payment minus a $35 processing fee that will be deducted from it. The good news is that you can always cancel your subscription yourself or directly with Paypal and avoid this 5-day notice.
- Absence from class does not constitute notice of withdrawal/termination.
- Upon written request, we will refund you for future classes that you already paid for and that you will not take. Classes that you missed before letting us know about your termination will not be refunded. Our cancelation policy applies in all cases.
- If you know that you would like to re-start classes after a break in service, the above termination/notification policies still apply.
- There is no guarantee that when you return from a break the same instructor you previously had and/or the same time slot will still be available. Instructors cannot “hold” a slot.
- Should you decide to have a break, your remaining credits will be valid for 45 days after your last class. After 45 days of class suspension your balance will be forfeited if you don’t return to classes or ask for a refund.
- All refunds will be deducted a $35 processing fee.
- You will receive any refunds within 20 days of your request.
- For corporate training, there is no refund in case some of the students drop the class or if a class is canceled.
Lesson Cancelation:
- You need to inform us of any cancellations or changes in schedule at least 48 hours before your class. This is because last-minute notices do not allow us to fill the time slot saved for you. Please call or send a text message directly to your instructor if you need to cancel or change a class. More advance notice is appreciated. Our business hours are Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm Pacific.
- Lessons canceled without a 48-hour advance notice will be charged.
- When you cancel a lesson with 48-hour notice you have a nonrefundable credit that you can use at any time. Credits for lessons canceled are valid for 45 days from the original date of the missed lesson. After 45 days credits will be forfeited.
