Repetition and practice are crucial for learning a language. I was talking about this with my student Cathy today. She is a Pilates instructor and she was telling me that we need 1,000 repetitions to fully learn something new and have it as second nature. When we have a bad habit, it takes 10,000 repetitions to replace it with a good habit.
